Ken Palmer

Partner

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), with a Masters degree in Taxation, Ken Palmer has a strong technical background and more than three decades of experience in providing valuable business and tax advisory services. Drawing on the strength of solid core values, Ken works with his clients to develop creative solutions to complex issues. He becomes a trusted member of his client’s team of advisors, working to help them reach their business and personal goals. Ken has provided expert testimony in courts of law, taught at the college level, and worked with businesses and individuals alike to plan and manage their finance and tax issues. He has also worked in industry as the CFO of a technology company.

Throughout his career, Ken has guided hundreds of entrepreneurs as they have established, funded and executed their dreams. He has worked with investors and developers to generate creative planning strategies for investing in, holding, and developing real estate; and with businesses to strategically navigate mergers, acquisitions and liquidations. With proven experience and consummate integrity, Ken has helped a wide range of clients strategically reduce their taxes, resolve complex entity structuring issues, settle perplexing estate, gift and trust tax issues, protect their net worth and make better business decisions.

Ken is active in community services, including working with youth and church groups, coaching, and volunteering in various capacities in the community. He has served on the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accounts’ Board of Directors, as the president of the Northern Chapter of Certified Public Accountants in Arizona, and as an officer and board member of several nonprofit organizations. Ken and his wife, Deborah, have been married for over 30 years and have five children.

As a Certified Public Accountant, and Partner at PBG Advisors, Josh received his degree in Accounting from Colorado Mesa University and a minor in Spanish in 2014. Over the years Josh has developed a strong background in both business and individual tax preparation and consulting.

Josh prides himself in providing a wide range of services to his clients, accessing his core values of diligence, dependability, competence and integrity, when serving his clients. Specializing in tax planning and consulting, Josh has become a trusted member of his clients’ financial teams, using these core values to aide them in achieving their financial goals.

Josh speaks Spanish fluently and enjoys expanding his knowledge about the Spanish culture and language. Josh and his wife Cami enjoy embracing the great outdoors of the Western Slope with their four sons, Fredrick, Henry, Charles, and Archie.

Kitrick joined the firm in August 2019. He graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and then received his Master of Accountancy degree from Idaho State University. Since 2016, he has been preparing individual and business tax returns for a wide variety of clients. He enjoys consulting with business owners to provide peace of mind in tax compliance. When he is not working, Kitrick enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole and their three children, running and biking Colorado’s beautiful trails, and reading a good book.

Charlotte has been with the firm since July 2017. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ottawa University in 2020 and is a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. Charlotte has experience in administration, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation and has served in a variety of industries. She has worked in the construction industry, various tax preparation companies, and for the State of Nevada, Department of Taxation. She also has experience in management at a local retailer. Charlotte is passionate about helping our clients and is excited to share her spectrum of skills and talents in the area. She loves to spend time with her two sons Nathanael and Gabriel and a variety of hobbies and activities.

Director of Operations

Hailey and her husband moved to Fruita in 2004 and have loved raising their three sons in the Grand Valley. She attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah and then Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah and has over fifteen years in the banking industry. As Director of Operations, Hailey gets to utilize her innate talents of organization and attention to detail to the fullest. Outside of work you can find Hailey out walking or hiking, reading a great non-fiction book, and cheering on the FMHS boys tennis and basketball teams.

Amanda Hardee Accountant Palmer Brady and Galloway PLLC Fruita, Colorado

Amanda and her family moved to Fruita in 2019 and have loved every minute of it. Previously they lived in northern Utah, where Amanda stayed home managing her family. Amanda obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2005 from Brigham Young University and subsequently worked as an Office Manager/Assistant Advisor on campus. She is excited to have re-entered the workforce full-time in 2020 and be utilizing her problem-solving, organizational, and detail-oriented skills outside of the home. When she’s not at the office, you’ll find Amanda spending time with her husband of 17 years, 2 children and dog, travelling, exploring the outdoors, cooking, working in her yard and garden, and reading a good book.

Darcy moved to the Grand Valley over 20 years ago to be closer to family and raise her daughter. She spent the majority of those years doing senior administrative work for Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction. As Administrative Assistant she has been excited to learn the challenging world of tax preparation while providing exceptional service to our clients. Outside of work you can find Darcy and her husband watching a good show, cross-country skiing, walking, or reading a good book.

Karli Pena Staff Accountant Palmer Brady and Galloway PLLC Fruita, Colorado

Karli Pena

Staff Accountant

Karli studied business at Mesa State College and lived in various places throughout Colorado with her husband and kids before happily returning to the Western Slope. She has been an office manager for a construction company as well as a kindergarten and preschool teacher. Karli loves people and has found her niche in building lasting client relationships while finding solutions for them in the complex world of accounting. Karli enjoys road trips with her husband and two kids, hiking mountain and desert trails, coaching and playing volleyball, and spending time on her family’s ranch in Southern Colorado.

Ken Schreiner

Accountant

Ken (or Kenny, as he’s known around the office) joined the firm in August 2023.  He graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting and obtained his CPA license in October 1996.  He spent eight years with a public accounting firm in the Grand Valley and then spent 20 years in a variety of roles within the health care sector.  Kenny is excited to rejoin the public accounting world and help the firm’s clients meet their business goals and objectives.  Kenny has been married to Kristine for more than 25 years and enjoys travel, wine and culinary adventures, gardening, the San Diego Padres and Denver Nuggets, and his vast collection of LEGO sets.

Anna McDonough

Anna is a student at Colorado Mesa University currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting with a minor in economics. Anna loves attention to detail and solving complex puzzles, making the accounting industry the place for her! After she graduates in May of 2025, Anna plans to obtain her CPA license to further her ability to help people with taxes. Anna moved to the Grand Valley in 2019 with her parents and two siblings in 2019 and currently raises sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, and horses. When not at work or school, you can find her walking her Australian shepherd, caring for her alpacas, or working on a sewing project.

Shauni Hawkins

Staff Accountant

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Teaching, Brigham Young University
Shauni grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and has lived in Utah, Oregon, and Illinois, before landing back in Colorado in 2013. She also spent a college semester doing a literacy internship in Mexico. Her work experience has included a variety of jobs, from basketball official to park ranger to Spanish teacher to fitness instructor. A lifelong learner and teacher in several capacities, Shauni loves to meet new people, and has found there is something to learn from everyone. She enjoys the challenge of working in the world of accounting where she can combine her love of working with people with her exceptional math skills and detail-oriented nature. Shauni, her husband Jeremy, and their five children love living in Fruita, where they are often found on the baseball field or the basketball court.

Annie Chaptman

Intern

Annie is currently a Public Accounting student in her senior year at Colorado Mesa University. With a previous Bachelor of Science & career in Plant Molecular Biology, she brings a strong foundation in data analytics and problem-solving to the accounting world. After graduation, Annie is excited to obtain her CPA license while working with PBG Advisors and their wonderful client base. When she’s not busy improving her accounting skills, you can find Annie working on her lavender farm, cross country skiing, or making homemade pasta.
